Lathyrus odoratus
Stunning profusion of light pink and white flowers with a heavenly scent. This heirloom variety is the first named Sweet Pea from the 1700’s. Long stems are great for bunching and adding to other bouquets. Be sure to bring some in your house to enjoy the fragrance! Grows to 5 feet and needs a sturdy trellis.
Increase germination by nicking the seed coat then pre-sprouting indoors by soaking in a wet paper towel.
Direct seed in cool soils of late February/March. Sow ½” deep and thin to 4”. 60 days to maturity
