her body will draw calcium from her own skeletal system, leading
to diminished health. Offer oyster shell free choice in a dish or toss
on the ground to encourage natural scratch and peck behavior.
Birds will self-regulate and take what they need. Begin offering
oyster shell to hens as they near egg production, approximately
at 18-20 weeks
