Direct seed or transplant in Spring through the Summer for a lovely multicolored cut and come again lettuce leaf. The longer the leaves grow on the plant the redder they become at the tips. Slow to bolt and not bitter. Translated as “Ears of the Devil”, this unique and beautiful variety comes to me from the Irish Seed Savers Association.
