Red Russian Kale

Brassica napus

Plant in early Spring when soil warms to 45 degrees or above.  Wonderfully sweet and mild tasting Spring and Fall kale with a beautiful purple rib.  The frilly leaves taste great as baby kale in a salad mix or full grown.  Tried and true variety that performs well all year round.  I grow this type in the hoop house over the winter for tender leaves I eat daily for breakfast.
